Addiction specialist Dr. Drew returns for a fifth season of Celebrity Rehab to once again face the task of helping a new group of celebrities in their quest for sobriety. The journey for these celebrities began at one of Southern California private addiction and recovery treatment facilities, The Pasadena Recovery Center.
The cast of celebrities that is seeking help from Dr Drew is Amy Fisher, Michael Lohan, Steven Adler, Bai Ling,Jeremy Jackson, and Sean Young.
Amy Fisher was the first celebrity to arrive at the center. Amy is known for her affair with Joey Buttafuoco and the shooting of his wife, Mary Jo Buttafuoco.Amy spent 6 years in prison for the shooting. She now work in Adult films. She has been married for 12 years and have 3 children. Amy checked into rehab for alcohol and while speaking with Dr Drew she said that she do not keep alcohol at home. She claims she does not drink everyday, but when she does drink she has blackouts each time.
The second person to arrive at the treatment center was Jeremy Jackson, from the 80's show Baywatch. When Jeremy started using drugs, his drug of choice was crystal meth. He was arrested for manufacturing meth and served 90 days in jail and 6 months rehab. He had remain clean for 10 years, but started and got hooked on steroids. He used a combination of steroids, including the steroid that is used on cattle right before slaughter.He said he has spent over $200,000 over the past 3 years on steroids. The steroids makes him very aggressive and hyper it will be interesting to see how the staff handles him.
The next celeb to arrive was Bai Ling, a former actress. Bai Ling is an alcoholic. She has a lot of pinned up emotions stemming from her childhood. It's possible she was abused as a child. On her first day we got a glimpse of her craving for alcohol. The most serious thing about her is that she is allergic to alcohol but drinks alcohol, which may lead to serious medical problems down the road.
The next person to arrive at the center was Michael Lohan. Michael is known as Lindsay Lohan father. Michael is an alcoholic. He stated that his father was an alcoholic. As a kid, his father was very verbally abusive. The genetic makeup has been passed down to his daughter Lindsay, who has on several occasion had a run-in with the law for alcohol.
The next celeb to enter the center is Actress Sean Young. Sean (female) is an alcoholic. In her interview, she said that she hope that Dr. Drew can convince her that there is a better solution than alcohol.
The final celebrity to join the center will be Steven Adler of the music group "Guns n Roses". In 2008 Adler attended this same rehab center and assaulted one of the staff members as she confronted him of using while at the facility.Adler was arrested and charged with assault. The staff member is now told that once again Adler will be attending the treatment center for treatment. The staff member clearly becomes upset as she says she is very frightened of Adler. The term using to describe Adler was that he was a "Monster".
