Two strangers come together to try and survive Africa jungle with no food, water, or clothing for 21 days. The couple must find everything for themselves. In order to survive this journey, they must come together as a team.
The couple consist of a man and woman, EJ and Kellie. They are given a choice of one item they choose to have on this adventure. EJ chooses a knife believing it will come in handy for maybe carving a sphere for protection against predators. Kellie chooses a cup, which proves to be important as time moves on.
The couple meets and are given a map of where they are to go. The map also consist of where water would be. As the couple begin this 21 day journey trouble already starts only after a few hours as the sun is barreling down on the couple and heat exhaustion begins to set in. EJ wants to move at a faster pace, but Kellie is wanting to stop and observe each and everything and is causing EJ to wonder if they would survive.
As the days move on, the couple has been without water and a fire for 3 days and have traveled over thorns that has been sticking in their feet the entire time..Even though they have found a water hole, the water must be boiled first, due to animals urinating in it. EJ knows that if they don't get a fire to boil water soon, their bodies will shut down. After about 3 hours of trying, EJ gets a fire going, and now that cup Kellie chose for the trip has come in handy because it can be used to boil the water.
With their bodies hydrated, the couple starts back on their trail.After several days EJ has had enough of those thorns sticking him in his feet every step he makes. He decides to make sandals for the couple to make their feet more comfortable. With their sandals in place they continue on.
Around day 12 Kellie begins to hit the wall. The couple has been with hardly any food and it has taken a toll on her physically and mentally. EJ has a one on one talk with Kellie and Kellie states that she wants to be an equal partner and pull her own weight. As they move on they find a shallow mud hole with a couple of fish in it. As EJ unsuccessfully tries to catch the fish, Kellie moves in and sits down in the mud with her legs open and catches four fishes for them to eat.
The next day as they are about to start on their journey, EJ foot seem to be getting infected from the thorns and can't really do anything. Kellie now has to try and hunt and gather wood for the fire on her own because as time goes on EJ foot is getting worse.
After a couple of days with EJ foot getting worse, producers of the show intervene to get a closer look at his foot. It seem that EJ would not be going forward with this adventure, but he's determined and tells the producers he does not want to quit. The producers decides to get him to medical attention and let him continue on.
Day 21 comes around and now the only thing left for the couple is to get a fire going to alert rescue that they have completed their journey. The couple gets the fire started and the rescue helicopter picks them up and makes them a survival of a 21 day journey in the jungle of Africa with no water, food, or clothing.
