Last week the contestants had to do the Jive, and J.R. Martinez did a great job, but judges felt it was over the top with too much jumping.
This week on Dancing With The Stars, contestants went back in time, to the most memorable year of their lives.Singer,Chyna Phillips, dance an emotional dance to her first release "Hold On". Nancy Grace danced to Moon River, which was a the first song she song to her daughter who almost lost her life at birth.J.R. Martinez dedicated his dance to all the Men and Women in the Arm Forces that did not make it home from War.
Martinez was wounded in Iraq, when his left tire on his Humvee ran over a landmine, burning the biggest part of his body.Hearing his story about seeing himself for the first time after surgery was very emotional.Worrying about what others would think when they saw him, his mother told him that it was the person within that make a person who they are. From that point on Martinez believed in having a positive outlook on life.
Martinez danced to the song "If you are reading this", by Tim McGraw. Now, let me tell you, I'm not an emotional person. Matter of fact, if you were to ask my friends, or children, they would say I never show emotions.Seeing Martinez dance last night was so emotional, that if you were watching Dancing With The Stars, you were shedding a few tears. This young man is so humble. Win or lose, I'm a fan for life.
Carrie Ann probably wish one of the other judges would have been first to get her emotions in check. She was so emotional until she could barely talk. She said that he was certainly was a "Hero". The audience gave him a standing ovation for his dance. If you miss this dance on Dancing With The Stars, I encourage you to watch it online if you can, you won't be disappointed.
